About Me

Hello! My name is Candace and I'm a Pre-K and Kindergarten tutor. My goal is to prepare girls and boys for Kindergarten and the 1st grade.

Education has always been important to me. I was the Valedictorian of my high school class and I graduated with honors from Oklahoma State University. I was in the top 10% of my class and I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. My major was Marketing and I minored in Management.

Experience

My tutoring experience includes prepping my son each Summer for the upcoming school year. He's currently in the 1st grade, but he is in advanced 2nd-grade reading :) I also have experience helping him with homework. I would like the opportunity to help scholars prepare for Kindergarten and/or 1st grade!

Approach

I like to make learning fun and I may include games or learning videos. I'm also a singer/songwriter so I enjoy incorporating music into my lessons.

Pre-K (Kinder Readiness) subjects I cover are: The Alphabet, Numbers & Counting, Time, Shapes & Colors, Sight Words, Opposites, Science, and Comparisons.

Kinder (1st Grade Readiness) subjects I cover include: Phonics & Spelling, Reading & Language Arts, Math, and Time.
