Fun Facts
I spend a good majority of my free time watching Netflix. I also love to explore the different restaurants found in and around Baltimore. Besides Netflix eating is one of my favorite pastimes.
I also write for the University's school newspaper and was recently promoted to senior staff writer. I meet with different artists, musicians, and other interesting people to conduct interviews which are then published. I often times get to go see them perform which can be a lot of fun.
About Me
I am a Chemistry major minoring in Psychology and Biology at University of Maryland Baltimore County. Upon graduation I hope to enter the research field - ideally in the drug development field.
Experience
In my junior and senior years of high school I tutored in Algebra as well as Chemistry both with National Honor Society and privately. In my sophomore year of college I began working as a Learning Assistant for Chemistry 101 as well as tutoring Chemistry privately.
In addition to this I have experience working with elementary school students in the areas of mathematics and reading comprehension at a local elementary school's after school program.
Approach
In high school I had a phenomenal chemistry teacher that really got through to me and inspired me to love chemistry. Him and subsequent research experiences showed me chemistry's importance in our lives and I use this realization to get students to love chemistry like I did. I also realize chemistry is a very abstract subject that many students struggle with. Because of this I am always extremely patient and work to get full understanding of all topics that I go over with my students.

Worked as a Chem 101 Learning Assistant for a semester as well as worked as a private chem 101 tutor with positive results.

Passed Chem 102 with an A as well as took AP Chemistry in high school, passing with a B and a 5 on the AP test essentially meaning I have taken and mastered this content twice.
