Fun Facts

I was a competitive swimmer for over 12 years. Competing at the state, collegiate, and national level; which has allowed me to travel all over the country. My freshman and senior year my high school team won state and set records in multiple events. Swimming has been a passion of mine for as long as I could remember.

About Me

I was born in Chandler, Arizona and lived there for seven years before my family moved to southern California. In the next eleven years, my family moved four more times. I moved out to Salt Lake CIty to get my degree at the U and swim for the University. I am currently majoring in elementary eduation with a minor in disability studies.

I have worked as a student teacher in a variety of classrooms from kindergarten to seventh grade over the past four years. This includes working with children with disabilities of all ages. Also, I have been a swim coach and a private swim lesson instructor for over five years. Throughout high school, I got help from a math tutor, so I understand both sides of the tutoring experience.

Since I have been on both sides of tutoring, I understand that some students learn at a different pace or need just a little more help. I hope to give the students that I tutor a better understanding of what they are learning. Also, to help them build confidence inside and outside of the classroom.
