About Me

I attend Jackson State University as a graduate student majoring in Social Work. I have my bachelors degree in Social Work. I work at Methodist Children’s Home as a Resident Advisor. I have experience working with children and adults dealing with mental/ behavioral health. My future goal is to become a Medical Social Worker, while doing contract work for mental health.

Experience

As a resident advisor for Methodist Children's Home, I have the opportunity to help children with their homework. I am also a member of Social Work Student Association, sometimes we have the privilege to tutor students. Working for Frog Tutoring gives me the opportunity to impact even more lives of students that need help!

Approach

As a child, I struggled in school and found learning to be difficult and demoralizing. In middle school, I was fortunate enough to have a teacher who, through positive encouragement and persistence, helped me realize my true potential. As a tutor, I attempt to bring this attitude to all of my sessions. Instead of giving students answers, I feel it is my responsibility to not only teach them the content, but study skills that will help them be successful in all classes!
