Fun Facts

I'm English-Spanish bilingual. My hobbies include baseball, playing guitar, drawing and tutoring. I consider tutoring a hobby for me because the satisfaction I get from playing a very hard song on my guitar or working on a drawing for hours and seeing it completed, is the same satisfaction I get when a struggling student comes to me and I'm able to make them see the subject through my eyes. My high school GPA was 4.4

About Me

I'm a third year Aerospace Engineer major currently attending UCSD. I decided to go with an engineering career because I really enjoy math and physics. I'm a bilingual student and I'm 100% comfortable in tutoring in English or Spanish. I'm really great students of all ages, I enjoy math-elementary/california/san-diego">elementary math as much as high school physics. My goals after graduating is to get into grad school to improve my chances out there when applying for jobs.

I'm the oldest of three brothers and I've been their personal tutor from elementary all the way through college. And the word has spread among family and friends, fortunately I've been able to help them go from failing their classes to actually liking the subject. When I tutor, my goal is not to get a better grade but rather teach them to see the subject the way I do, in a fun way. Because you can help a student improve their grades by having them memorize patterns but that wont help them in the long run as much as actually learning to enjoy the subject. I can say I have learned a lot from the people I've tutored as I have been able to pick up techniques and try different methods.

With the tutoring experience I've acquired through the year, I have been able to identify the most important qualities of a great tutor. Even though, mastery of the subjects you are teaching is essential, the most important quality a tutor could have is patients. From my experience I've learned that the best way to help someone who's struggling with a concept, is to approach this concept from as many ways you can think of because you never know which one is going to click for them.
