Fun Facts

I have been in burning buildings and drove fire trucks in firefighter school and received my certification. I love to sing and play the drums. I have played for over seven years, earned state medals in school and desire to learn other instruments. I enjoy the outdoors and playing all types of sports. My favorite basketball team is the Spurs! I love to learn and helping others become their best!

About Me

I am a junior completing a double major in Psychology and Biblical and Theological Studies. I currently obtain a GPA of 3.8. Through these studies I hold several certificates for professional Life-Coaching. After completing these degrees I plan to further my education to attain a M.S. of Psychology and even more a M. Div. The large picture through this process is the plan to cultivate a church and ministries that reach, save, encourage, inspire and develop people to reach their greatest potentials!

After high school I became involved in a grant-funded program called 21st Century. I had the chance to work in both Elementary and Middle schools where I tutored students on their homework, interacted with them on a personal level and led them as a role-model and positive influence. I also had the opportunity to work at a group-home facility with mentally ill patients. I communicated and taught different subjects and life skills on various levels. Lastly I have been a youth leader at my church for nearly 4 years. I speak, encourage and interact with middle school and high school students weekly. As a leader I understand that school takes a toll in many ways, but I encourage that they are awesome and can become anything!

I understand students who struggle in school, who are afraid to try and achieve by the fear of failure or a lack of confidence in their work and self. There is hope. This was me throughout all my teenage years when my grades and goals should have been thriving. Now it is my purpose to offer people results! As a tutor it is hardly my job just to teach. It is my job to know and understand the personality of the person that I work with and how they learn. I will build an ongoing relationship through strategic questioning and listening. I will incorporate fun and productive ways for them to learn and the skills to be better in and outside the class.
