About Me

As a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a background that includes object-oriented programming and mathematics, I always seek out opportunities to both share and nurture my skills in both of those disciplines.

Experience

My experience helping students achieve proficiency in mathematics began 9 years ago at a Kumon center. Since graduating high school and moving through college, I have moved toward private meetings with regular students, both in-person and online, and have successfully guided many students in mathematics, as well as science/michigan/detroit">computer science, standardized test prep and writing.

Approach

While I have encountered many different learning styles and personalities, one thing that remains consistent is the core of my approach: to help students apply their existing knowledge and skills in solving new problems. I find it rewarding to get to know my students on a personal level and ensure their success in the process, and this approach has proven successful for numerous students I've worked with over the years.
