On my free time, I enjoy exercising and playing various sports. My favorite sports are tennis, golf, and swimming. I am also a foodie and like to try different ethnic cuisines. My favorite types of food are Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, and Mediterranean cuisines.

About Me

I was born and raised in San Jose. Currently, I am a graduate student in a teaching credential program at San Jose State University. I plan on teaching physical education at a high school or middle school when I graduate. My long-term goals are to teach physical education classes at the college level.

I have completed fieldwork observations at the elementary school, middle school, high school, and college level for my undergraduate preprofessional experience. In my fieldwork, I would often assist and reinforce the teacher's lessons. My tutoring experience is limited, but I am eager and look forward to working with students because I do plan on being a teacher someday.

I feel that everybody is capable of learning as long as proper resources are provided. Many students do not understand what is taught to them because of the way the material is presented in class. The key when tutoring is to present the material in multiple forms, so the student can figure out the concepts. Students must also feel that they can do anything they put their mind to. This confidence is formed from multiple successes, determination, and a strong work ethic which is important for tutors to enforce on their students.
