Algebra Tutoring

I lead study groups in this subject as I comprehended the subject and could teach it very well. My grades for all four quarters were at least above a 90. I have many teaching strategies to help others understand basic algebra and variables.

English Tutoring

I am currently taking a college level English class. My grammar skills, comprehension abilities, and essay writing is highly developed. For the past 4 year in High School my grade average ranged from 95% to 98%. Many people come to me to proof read as my idea development, quote embedding skills, and transition sentence ideas are extensive.

Government Tutoring

I received a 4 on my AP US Government and Politics test. My yearly average for this class was in the mid to high 90's. I taken two classes in this subject which allowed me to gain extensive knowledge on both the basics of our government and the modern issues as well since I took these courses recently.

Homework Coach Tutoring

As I learned from my mother who went to college and learned the different learning style methods - visual, auditory, hands on, written, etc. - I have figured out what types of study methods and learning methods work for each type of learner. Since I can learn all ways, I utilize all methods depending on what subject I am working on. This idea can be applied to homework. I can motivate the student and help them understand what they are learning with examples and previous lessons they have learned.

Physical Science Tutoring

I had an average of 98 in this class on an Honors level when I took it and lead multiple study groups for this course. Since this class is mostly applied algebra scientific principles, knowing math and memorization is the biggest factors in succeeding. I can teach that very well with the strategies I developed. Since I took this class only four years ago, I have a modern knowledge of the syllabus, curriculum, and new equation solving methods.

Physics Tutoring

I have taken Physics 1 and 2, both Honors, and have an average of an A+ in these classes. I am able to teach strategies to other students that I have learned to help them excel. These include study skills, memorization, and organization so they will be able to identify the information they have, select the equations they will use, then perform the basic algebra to solve it.

Pre Algebra Tutoring

I helped my group when I took this class several years ago. Since my math skills are so highly developed, I advanced to this class earlier then most of my peers and I still received a grade of 'A' in this class. Algebra is my favorite class and I find it easy to explain using hands on methods and real life scenarios.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring

I am currently taking a college level English course centered around reading and discussing the novels, biographies, and plays that we read. From this class and previous classes, I have learned strategies to break down text and understand its meaning. I am capable of teaching these strategies and helping students practice with them.

Science Tutoring

I have taken many different sciences recently like Physical Science Honors, Biology Honors, Chemistry Honors, and Physics 1 Honors and 2 Honors. Since I took these classes recently, I know the modern curriculum and current teaching methods especially for the mathematics parts. For each class I received either an 'A' or 'A+'. I have experience tutoring fellow students in these subjects and have increased many test grades from 60s/70s to 90s.

I am in Spanish 5 currently and I will be taking the AAPPL exam soon which will certify me as proficient in the Spanish Language. My dad moved to a Spanish Speaking Country and I help him learn Spanish. My grades in Spanish, for the past 5 years, have been in the mid 90's on average.

In middle school I helped my peers learn since I picked up on the lesson quickly and had strategies of how I could teach it.

Punctuation, grammar, capitalization, parallel structure, and learning prefixes, suffixes, and their meanings is extremely important in the English language. I learned these rules early as my mother's job centers on this and she received a Masters degree in this subject. Memorizing the basic rules and applying them to unknown situations is the core of this subject and I am confident I can teach others this.

I have taken multiple social studies classes and I am confident I can teach the student what they are learning, especially because I most likely learned about it not too long ago as well. I have always excelled with A's or A+'s in Social Studies. Teaching the content in a fun, understandable way and teaching good study skills is what my goal would be when approaching this subject.

My SAT score for Math was 680 and I was in the 93rd National Percentile.. I can help teach strategies, go over subjects that the student is unsure of, and use practice tests and questions to help the student increase their comfortability with the test and subject matter.
