Fun Facts
I am an avid snowboarder and hiker who loves spending time in nature! My wife and I have a lovely tuxedo cat named Sadie and six fish named Sable, Sandro, Lenny, Terry, Nickel and Dime. I am the middle child in my family and thoroughly enjoy traveling in my free time.
About Me
I have been teaching high school English at a charter school in Downtown Los Angeles for the past 4 years. I have taught 9th grade English, 12th grade English, 12th grade AP Literature, and ACT English Prep.
Experience
I have always gravitated towards tutoring English and reading skills. Beginning in high school, I always found myself helping my friends access our assigned readings by providing them scaffolds and other means of interpreting the text.
Approach
I am passionate about storytelling and believe it is one of the most important ways we learn about ourselves and those around us. I firmly believe that every learner needs a champion in their corner who believes in their ability to achieve and succeed in academics. I want to be that champion for your student!
