About Me

My name is Emma Manukyan and I am married and have 2 sons. I have graduated from California State University with math major. My goal is to teach students math and passionate about it because I want to be able to help students in the future achieve their dreams and goals. I love learning about different areas of the world and studying animal and plant life.

Experience

I have experience in tutoring almost 5 years and was teaching math either indivudually or in small groups twice a week in almost all branches of mathematics. As a tutor I revewed classroom or curricula topics and assignments, helped students to understand key concepts, especially those learning in classroom. and finally consolidate the knowledge gained. I like to be a flexible in my teaching approaches and continuously looking for better simplier ways to reach each student.

Approach

I chose to be a teacher because teaching is not just a profession, it is a mission. One of the most common reasons to become a teacher is to make a difference in the lives of as many students as I can providing appropriate knowledge reducing any bias treatment. My approach as a teacher is to teach and encourage children by helping them realize their potential.
