Fun Facts
I love playing and watching sports with family and friends. I often have a lot of fun doing anything playful and active with other people. My favorite sports are basketball and ping pong.
About Me
I am a first-year undergraduate student at the University of South Florida. I am a national merit finalist and in the 7-year medical program as a part of the honors college. I also scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT. I hope to become a sports medicine doctor; however, I also have an interest in becoming a professor of medicine.
Experience
As a high school student, I was the president of the math club. As president, I would stay after school tutoring students who struggled in precalculus and higher-level high school algebra. I was also an SAT tutor for the nonprofit student-led organization, EduVisa.
Approach
For every student, learning presents an intimidating challenge. Students often put pressure on themselves to master everything they are given, and when this doesn't happen, they feel inadequate. This is especially true when students are taught something they are not ready to receive due to gaps in their knowledge.
This is where I feel I am effective in teaching students. I'm able to accurately identify what exactly is keeping a student from understanding something and I can use creative methods

Pre Calculus Tutoring
I took honors precalculus as a high school student and earned an A. I also took college level precalculus algebra the following semester and earned an A. I am able to successfully tutor precalculus because I approached my initial learning of the subjects by constantly testing my ability to teach what I was learning. Therefore, I acquired a deep understanding of the skills and concepts.
Calculus I Tutoring
I am able to successfully tutor calculus because I recognize its scientific nature. I don't look at calculus (or any math subject) as arbitrary rules and formulas to memorize, use and then forget about. I am able to get a deep understanding of the conceptual reality of the different math topics I tutor and impart this understanding onto my students.
I took life sciences calculus 1, calculus 1 topics applied to biology and medicine, and I earned an A.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I have a strong mastery of all algebra topics, proven by my 99th percentile SAT score. I am also able to adeptly tutor this subject, as I privately tutored pre algebra students in the past.
I took pre-algebra in the 7th grade and earned an A.
Algebra Tutoring

I took a year long algebra sequence in the 9th grade that is the equivalent of algebra 1 and 2. I earned an A both semesters and was consistently at the top of the class.

I have a strong mastery of all algebra topics, proven by my 99th percentile SAT score. I am also able to adeptly tutor this subject, as I privately tutored algebra students in the past.

I have a strong mastery of every single topic on the reading/ writing portion of the SAT. I scored in the 99th percentile when I took the test, and I have experience tutoring SAT reading/ writing (and math) both privately and as a part of an organization.
Chemistry I Tutoring
I am an undergraduate pre med student studying biomedical sciences. This degree is very similar to a degree in chemistry; therefore, it is very relevant to my current studies.

Study Skills Tutoring
As a college student studying pre med, I have used and altered different study strategies to prepare for tests and ensure I am mastering the subjects I am taking. I have a good understanding of good and bad habits are and am able to communicate this to a student as a mentor.
PSAT Tutoring
I am a national merit finalist, meaning I scored in the top 1% in the examination used to determine the status. Therefore, I am qualified to tutor the PSAT. The PSAT's content is also the exact same as the SAT, and I scored in the top 1% on that exam also.
