Fun Facts

I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and even went to college here at UT. I love hiking around central Texas finding new parks to hang out in with friends!

About Me

I graduated from UT Austin in 2022 with a BSA degree in Biology. I would like to help students in Biology courses such as Introductory Biology I and II, Genetics, and Molecular Biology-- all courses which I received As in at UT! I also recently took the MCAT in January and scored in the 95th percentile, and want to help others learn how to study effectively to do well on this exam.

Experience

My tutoring and teaching experience began in high school, where as a member of the NHS, I tutored underclassmen every semester of my Junior and Senior years. I also served as a Section Leader and Drum Major in the marching band, in which I taught freshmen how to march and improve their instrument playing. In professional settings, I have trained new coworkers in my job as an ophthalmic technician and in my volunteer position as a scribe at a free clinic.

Approach

In my experience teaching others, I try to be patient and explain concepts in a way that promotes long-term retention, rather than short-term memory. I know transitioning to college-style classes is difficult, so I hope to help others be more successful in school and improve their grades on exams!
