I hold many passions in the artistic space, including videography, poetry, and visual art. When I'm not working, I often enjoy creating videos on philosophical topics and sharing those on my YouTube page, which tend to be similar to themes described in my poetry. I love to surf, run, and longboard. About Me

Born in Odesa, Ukraine, I was a bi-racial orphan adopted as a child by a kind American family. I grew up in the southern states and enjoyed the competition and reading growing up. Critical thinking came fairly naturally to me from a young age, but I genuinely struggled with English comprehension and writing. Over the years, I improved significantly in my ability to express myself and to learn new subject material, permitting me to attend a reputable university and share my story with many others. These 22 years in the US have impacted me to become more aware of the life-changing potential of learning and academia. Now it's time to focus on the next generation!

Experience

With three years of robust tutoring experience, educating students from ages 10 (4th grade) up to 23 (College) in a variety of different learning circumstances and settings. In both in-person and online engagements, I have been able to work closely with students and parents to target the most prominent setbacks to their academic success and work to remedy them. I have worked with a Group for 1.5 years, based out of San Diego, as well as Club Z-In Home Tutoring Services.

Approach

In the three years I've actively tutored, I've worked with many students suffering from ADHD, as well as other learning disadvantages. I have created a passive conversational approach at the early phase of introduction with the student to assess both their interest, attention, and ambition relative to their academic journey. These facets of their personality help me considerably to cater my lessons and communication to their needs and style, reducing the chance of nonproductive sessions.
