Fun Facts

When I am not studying for class, you can either find me doing jigsaw puzzles or crosswords with our campus puzzle club. I am also a part of the Womxn's Ultimate Frisbee club here, and I have played since my freshman year of high school.

About Me

I am currently a freshman at Washington University in St. Louis, although I am originally from central New Jersey. I made Dean's list my first semester at college, and I am doing well in my current classes as well. Although I am undecided, I am taking a statistics course currently as well as a educational choice and policy course.

Experience

While I never was in any kind of formal tutoring organization, through word of mouth I was able to connect to various students who needed help with schoolwork. I would work after school or sometimes if necessary during breaks in the school day to tutor kids at various levels of math.

Approach

As a student I have had needed to utilize a tutor or a mentor for clarification about certain concepts so I understand what it is like to be confused or frustrated when I am not able to understand a topic easily. I think that I try to incorporate this into my tutoring style so that I am easy to approach and encouraging, because it can be hard to admit that you are struggling with a subject. I also try to understand the issue from the student's point of view so that they can be the most successfu
