About Me

I am a graduate of SUNY Binghamton in the Classical Languages and French. I love reading, exercising, doing art, focusing on overall wellness, and helping others reach their (language) goals.

Experience

I received lifetime certification as an International Language Tutor in 2015-16 while in graduate school and working as a college language tutor at SUNY Binghamton. I have years of experience tutoring college students in French, Ancient Greek, and Latin. I have led college classes in French and Ancient Greek. I have offered private tutoring at the middle school level in Latin.

Approach

I seek to make learning fun by reminding my students what they hope to get out of their studies, and breaking down larger, long term goals into smaller steps which are easier to complete. I ask: "What can we do today to get you one step closer to your learning goals?". I also try to be flexible by understanding that every person has a slightly different learning style and preference.
