Fun Facts

Hi, my name is Carol, and I am 20 years old. My favorite colors are lavender, pink, and red. I am the youngest daughter out of three children. I love to travel to Mexico and eat their delicious food! I have three dogs named Milo, Buddy, and Bruno. I love to paint and color, and I would like to start doing ceramics again because I took two semesters in high school and loved it!

About Me

I am a junior at the University of Southern California. I am currently a Legal Studies major. I transferred from a community college, Citrus College, where I completed an Associate's degree in Administration of Justice and Criminal Justice. I graduated with High Honors and on the Dean's list in June 2024 and began my journey at USC this January 2025. I plan to pursue a Juris Doctorate after finishing my Bachelor's degree.

Experience

I attend a church in the city of El Monte, and there I have been able to tutor students. I have been able to not only teach them but also help them with their homework assignments. In junior high and high school, I also took electives as a TA, where I was placed in a classroom to assist teachers and students. In those classrooms, I went around helping students with assignments and tutoring them. I have been able to tutor some kids in my household and family friends as well.

Approach

Growing up, I was a very shy student, and when I encountered a problem in my homework or lectures, I did not want to speak up about it. There were times when I would not do well on certain tests just because I did not ask questions. I have been able to meet outstanding teachers who made me feel comfortable in learning and asking questions when I felt lost. I would like to make other students feel the same way I did, and feel free to ask questions and ask for guidance. This will allow students
