I have a strong passion for mathematics, philosophy, and all sorts of literature. In addition to English, I am conversational in Spanish and have experience in Latin and Ancient Greek (though unfortunately not so many people speak those two). I love to learn and to help others achieve the same!
About Me
I am a sophomore student at Temple University, pursuing a double major in mathematics and classical studies. After I graduate, I hope to go to graduate school for either math or philosophy and pursue research.
Experience
In high school, as required for the National Honor Society, I tutored students in math (typically algebra but also pre-calculus).
Approach
While I am personally someone who has always been at home in the old school method of learning, in which one simply memorizes formulas and applies them to different problems, I also understand that this is not sufficient for many students. In the realm of math, I usually try to show them why what we are learning in useful or interesting in the first place, so that they understand what is at stake when they are solving a problem.
