About Me

I'm a student at Columbia University majoring in Political Science and Human Rights, with a deep passion for community building, education, and advocacy. I’ve worked as a tutor and mentor, helping students overcome academic challenges while fostering confidence and curiosity.

Experience

I have extensive experience tutoring and mentoring students across middle and high school levels. At Frederick Douglass Academy 2, I provide one-on-one academic support, designing personalized learning strategies to help students reach their goals and build confidence. Through Peer Group Connection, I tutored classmates while also guiding freshmen through their transition into high school, combining academic assistance with peer mentorship and conflict resolution.

My approach to tutoring is grounded in empathy, patience, and mutual respect. I make it a priority to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace. I want every student to see me as approachable and supportive—someone who’s on their team and genuinely invested in their success.
