About Me
Hi! I’m Gabrielle, a passionate veterinary student with years of academic tutoring and real-world experience in science, healthcare, and education. I graduated with a degree in Women and Gender Studies with a Biology minor, and I’ve worked in both emergency and general practice animal hospitals. Beyond animals, I’m committed to uplifting my community—I even started my tutoring project to help kids succeed academically in high school. Whether you're prepping for a big exam or need help staying on top of your coursework, I bring patience, clarity, and enthusiasm to every session!
Experience
Founder & Tutor – Helping Kids Reach Their Dreams Project (2017–2023): Tutored K–12 students, especially in SAT, FSA, and EOC prep
Speciality Areas: Standardized test prep (SAT, FSA, EOC), Biology, English, Health Sciences
Additional Teaching Roles: Event coordination and educational outreach during my internship at FIU’s Center for Women’s and Gender Studies
Hands-On Learning: From educating pet owners in vet clinics to teaching guests about wildlife at Zoo Miami.
Approach
My tutoring style is warm, organized, and student-centred. I focus on building confidence, not just competence. I start by understanding how each student learns best—whether through visual aids, discussion, or practice problems—and adapt accordingly. I believe in positive reinforcement and making learning less stressful and more enjoyable. Most importantly, I meet students where they are and help them reach where they want to be.
