I have 5 children! Ranging from ages 8 months - 15 years old.

About Me

After working in business administration for over 10 years, I took a year to volunteer as an Americorps Member. During my year of service, I worked as a program coordinator for a literacy intervention nonprofit called Reading Partners. I was assigned to run the literacy tutoring program in a designated school in Baltimore City called Cross-Country Elementary/Middle School. In my role, I worked with over 30 students and over 40 volunteer tutors to schedule and facilitate daily 1:1 tutoring sessions for children who tested below grade level in literacy.

Approach

As a student myself and a mother, I take an approach that prioritizes helping children to feel seen, heard, and known. From my experience with children, I have witnessed that they begin to really flourish with curiosity and creativity once they enter into an atmosphere that is child-centric.
