I am very passionate about sports and coaching. I have played a half dozen different sports at a pretty competitive level.

About Me

I am a retired person who has a wealth of experience in many different areas. I want to focus on coaching and teaching. my undergrad degree was from 1985 and from the United States Military Academy. Our course load was higher than other schools averaging about 20 credit hours a semester, with very few electives and no required major. Additionally, I was playing college sports and those demands impacted some of my course work as did my military obligations. I also think grade inflation was not p

I have had multiple opportunities to tutor and teach middle school math both at home, at the Washington Waldorf School and at Bullis.

Approach

There are times when I have not done well academically. I remember these struggles and use them to try to help my students cope with their struggles. I have also gained great experience understanding the learning approach of many different children. I enjoy the challenge of finding how to meet individual children and helping them learn
