About Me

I serve as the Resource Support Aide/Librarian at St. Thomas More Catholic School. My role will be expanding next school year to include teaching STEAM. I earned a Bachelor's degree in science/california/san-francisco">Computer Science from San Francisco State University and Associate's degrees in science/california/san-francisco">Computer Science, History (with Honors), Library Information Technology, Science & Math, and Social & Behavioral Sciences (with Honors) from City College of San Francisco. My goal is to continue teaching and supporting students.

Experience

I currently serve as Resource Support Aide/Librarian at St. Thomas More Catholic School, where I provide academic support to K-8th-grade students in various subjects. At SFSU, I acted as a peer mentor to students in an integral course for the science/california/san-francisco">Computer Science degree. And at Real Options for City Kids, I partnered with classroom teachers to co-teach curriculum over Zoom, including instruction of phonics and math, and designed and facilitated small reading groups.

Approach

I have found mastering the foundations of different subjects, especially mathematics, crucial to a student's learning, including my own. I hope to support students early on and make sure those basics are truly understood. I also hope to individualize whenever possible, trying to get students interested in, if not excited about learning, by appealing to their interests.
