Fun Facts

Something about me that people learn quickly is that I LOVE music. I'm always on the lookout for a new song or artist to play on repeat. I ski in the winter with my siblings; it's my favorite time of the year, just being able to hang out with them. I am the youngest of five, so that means I'm automatically the coolest sibling.

About Me

I am a Sophomore Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology Major at UCSB. Throughout High School, I was awarded the Principal's Award along with several others that show my leadership and academic excellence. At graduation, I was honored with being one of the Valedictorians at my school, graduating top 10% of my class.

Experience

Being a member of National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation, it was my job to provide an academic driven community at my High School. I started tutoring friends and classmates starting my Junior year in Math, Science, English, and French. During my Freshman year at UCSB, I had the opportunity to take part in SciTrek, where I mentored young students in the K-12 system in various hands-on science lessons.

Approach

Growing up, it was hard sticking with the STEM path while also keeping it unique to me taking other types of courses like Arts and Language. However, I managed to pull through and still maintain my individuality and continue my love for rigorous work at the UC level. As a tutor, I want to bring the attitude I've kept towards hard work since elementary school: Creativity and Hand-On work. It's important to learn the material it takes to be successful, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun!!
