Teaching and learning are great passions of mine, and when I am not in the classroom, I enjoy live music, everything coffee, movies, sketching, painting, riding my bike, architecture, playing pickleball, and camping during the summer.

About Me

I have a master of Education from Portland State University and over ten years of experience working with students as a teacher, mentor, and role model. In the classroom, I use engaging, student-centred, discussion-based, hands-on lessons to instruct differentiated lessons. My teaching method is to deliver lessons that are developmentally appropriate and are student-focused, centered on their interests, strengths and needs, while learning in
an active, safe, welcoming and fun environment. I carry these skills, accomplishments and abilities into my tutoring.

Experience

As an educator, I have worked with students to increase academic success, build leadership skills, increase community engagement, improve goal management and study habits.
I ensure that youth are provided with the necessary
resources to be successful. I build healthy, trusting relationships with students through an open-door policy and one-on-one sessions.

Approach

I connect with students at an individual level, allowing me the opportunity to build a trusting relationship, meet the student where they are, and build a tailored academic plan.
