Fun Facts

I really enjoy reading, but unfortunately only get time to enjoy a book over the summer. I love biking, and try to bike wherever I go. I used to play the violin in my school orchestra and took private piano piano lessons, and I still love winding down by playing a few tunes. Also, I am a second degree black belt in taekwondo, a sport that I dropped in highschool, and I hope to soon pick it back up!

About Me

I am a sophomore Biomedical Engineering major at the University of Alabama at birmingham">Birmingham. I just finished my freshman year with a 4.0 GPA and was on the Dean's List for both semesters. I am in the Global and Community Leadership Honors Program at UAB. I hope to use my BME degree to help people lead more comfortable lives with the help of medical devices.

Experience

In high school, I had the opportunity to maryland/germantown">germantown">tutor students through BETA Club, National Honor Society, and 30 and Above Club. It's a great feeling to help my peers or younger students and see them succeed in the subject I helped them with. I hope that I get the opportunity to see students excel by working for Frog maryland/germantown">germantown">Tutoring!

Approach

I have always enjoyed helping my friends and peers with their coursework throughout my schooling. It can be sometimes scary to approach a teacher with questions, which is when a peer or friend can come in handy! I have struggled with study techniques throughout high school, but after my first year of college, I know what works for me and have quite a few strategies under my belt. I hope to share this knowledge and skills with my students so that they can be successful in all aspects of school.
