Fun Facts

Last year, I received math textbooks for Christmas AND my birthday. I'm really passionate about mathematics and hope to be a professor and researcher after I finish school. I'm very proud of my book collection, even though a lot of the books are just there to make me look smart. I'm a pretty great singer, but only when alone in my car.

About Me

I'm a freshman mathematics major at the University of Missouri, hoping to transfer to Washington University in St. Louis in the future and go to grad school at the University of Chicago for mathematics. Ultimately, I want to teach and research open problems in math.

Experience

I've had lots of informal experience tutoring and helping friends in geometry, algebra and calculus. I hope to gain some formal experience from Frog Tutoring and have the opportunity to work with lots of people who need help understanding mathematics.

Approach

When helping someone with mathematics, I do my best to bring some sort of intuition to the problem. I really believe that all problems in math can be understood intuitively, as opposed to rote memorization and application. I want to help students understand why the methods taught in class actually work, in order to enrich the ability to apply them.
