I have a wide variety of interests...I'm the kind of person who wants to try everything. I'll read anything I can get my hands on. I also enjoy doing puzzles that challenge me, be it jigsaws, crosswords, Sudoku, or a brain teaser. I am passionate about art: I love to draw and work with my hands, and I visit the Detroit Institute of Arts whenever I can.

About Me

I am a recent graduate from wayne-state-university">Wayne State University, where I majored in Linguistics and minored in German. I graduated magna cum laude and was on the Dean's List for 5 years. My ultimate goal is to continue my education and go to graduate school.

As a detroit">tutor, I worked with a high school student who needed help with English grammar, writing, and German. I focused on improving her understanding of the materiel and concepts, as well as helping with homework and studying. In college, I volunteered my time by detroit">tutoring Linguistics to my fellow Linguistics students who were struggling in some of the subjects. I also helped students write academic papers by proofreading and editing.

My approach to detroit">tutoring is essentially problem-solving. I focus on the problem areas that is holding a student back in any particular subject, and by working with the student, teach them to solve those problems in ways that they can understand. By doing so, it empowers and gives the student the tools needed to succeed in their educational career.
