One of my passions is volunteer service in a community. I love going out and donating my time to help the community in any way that I am able to. Currently I am volunteering with a program offered in San Jose for adult union workers to learn to read and write English.

About Me

I am a senior at Santa Clara University majoring in English. I was first at Foothill College for a year where I graduated on the Deans List with an AA in English at the age of 17. As I am now finishing up my bachelors at Santa Clara I am planning on attending Law School so that I can one day start my own non-profit.

Experience

I have been working with children for 6+ years from nannying to tutoring students. I have worked with students of all ages and of all learning levels who are in elementary school through high school. My experience ranges from students who are struggling in class to keep up with the school work and students who also are dealing with a disability.

Approach

I grew up conquering my own learning disability and my sister also suffered from a much more severe learning disability then my own. When I approach a students struggles I work on helping them feel confident in their education and teach them how to feel in control of their schooling by teaching them different ways to study and keep themselves organized in the studies. It is my goal with the students to help them succeed in school and be able to carry their confidence in their education over to o
