Fun Facts

I was born in Jamaica and lived there until I was 8 when I moved to Miami, so I like my warm weather! I am also very active and whenever I'm not doing school work you'll probably find me on a soccer pitch. I love spending time with my family and I have family from all over the world. Seriously, this summer I met some cousins from New Zealand and the UK.

About Me

Currently I am working towards graduating from North Carolina State University with Honors and a degree in Biomedical Engineering. After that, I plan on continuing to graduate school where I will earn my masters degree and then begin working. Ultimately, I want to end up designing products for low income consumers. Preferably, those in developing nations who really need the devices.

My unofficial career as a raleigh">tutor started early; I took joy in helping my friends out in high school with any math, chemistry, or physics problem they had. Due to my help with my High school soccer teammates, I am proud to say that the team's average GPA was above a 3.0. Officially, my career as a raleigh">tutor began sophomore year of college where I took on a position raleigh">tutoring college students at my university in physics. This is where I learned the bulk of my raleigh">tutoring fundamentals and how to conduct myself professionally as a raleigh">tutor.

As a raleigh">tutor I believe that my job is to make it such that, in the end, the student is independent of me. After all, there aren't raleigh">tutors for every class you'll ever take, especially not in college. I believe that organization and time management are key. Also, if you are willing to put in the time, then the results will come. Also, I understand that school is not the only thing in life and that there are other obligations that we all have. I strive to make my students capable of handling both through organization and efficient study habits. Most of the time, the problem that students have is that there focus is elsewhere for the majority of the school year but come test time, they are forced to rapidly learn the material. This is what I seek to improve by gradually correcting their bad habits and embracing their good ones.
