Fun Facts

I love to ballroom dance! My favorite type of dance is Swing, I can't get enough of it. I am also a DJ at my college radio station. My co-host and I play all types of music, play games, and take calls from listeners. I hope to one day travel to every continent on the planet. So far I have been to North America, Europe, and Africa and I hope to go to Asia after I graduate from college.

About Me

I am a Junior English major and Psychology minor at Quinnipiac University. I am also enrolled in the Master of Secondary Education program and hope to one day become a high school English teacher. My goals include to one day teaching English in a foreign country and to write a novel. I am a member of the Quinnipiac University Honors Program and the Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society.

During the past summer I worked at an institute that helped resettle refugees in the United States. I ran the connecticut/new-haven">tutoring program that taught children English and helped them to complete their homework. Each day I helped a group of children from Nepal and Iraq to complete their summer school work and learn English. By the end of the summer all of the kids were excited to begin their first year at American school!

One of the most important aspects of connecticut/new-haven">tutoring is building a rapport with your students. I hope to make my students feel comfortable and encourage them to ask questions and take an active role in all the connecticut/new-haven">tutoring session. I want to be a mentor for my students and provide them with a role model to look up to. As a Frog connecticut/new-haven">Tutor I hope to instil my love for English and reading into all of my students and encourage them to be the best they can be!
