Fun Facts
I love dinosaurs, collecting antiques and sci-fi. I love to travel, and I especially love airplanes. I love to sing, dance (badly) and play with my cats. My bucket list includes going to the moon and seeing an active volcano.
About Me
I am a graduate student in a distance education program of library science at emporia-state-university">Emporia State University. I am just starting my education, and I hope to be finished at the end of next year. I am hoping to work as a librarian someday.
Experience
I have tutored before one summer, taking kids through their reading homework assignments and even bringing in some of my favorite books to read. I have volunteered at kids' science summer camps at the University of Utah, and I loved experiencing the science along with them. I love helping people, and I love introducing them to knew knowledge.
Approach
I feel that learning should be a fun experience, and should have plenty of practical applications. I like to learn by relating the subject to my own life, and showing how it is important to the real world. That's how I like to teach. I would like to foster a true love of learning in my sessions.

Social Studies Tutoring
I majored in anthropology at the University of Oregon with a 2.8 grade point average, and I took several cultural anthropology classes. I have not tutored in the subject before, but I was in anthropology club, where we discussed current anthropology subjects and trends, and I formed study groups in which my classmates and I familiarized ourselves more extensively with the subject material.
