Fun Facts
The first passion I have is people! I enjoy being around all kinds of people and backgrounds. I learn more and more from people everyday. I hope to someday use this passion to begin a movement that encourages and inspires diversity in many ways. If I'm not around people studying culture you can find me dancing on my own or even in a studio practicing my Latin grooves.
About Me
I am a senior in college studying psychology. As mentioned before, I'd like to combine my psychology science with language arts and entertainment to reach the public and inspire them to have the understanding and love that I have for people as well.
I enjoy teaching because I love learning. I am thankful to have wonderful school experiences that will continue to fuel my patience and desire to be with children and even adults when it comes to learning and improving something new.
Experience
I began detroit">tutoring in high school through the National Honor Society. In college, my school also offered detroit">tutoring and we were encouraged to sign up. I began in home detroit">tutoring in 2015 for high school science students.
Just recently, I held a position at Brookfield Academy where I was an assistant teacher helping students with a variety of subjects.
Approach
I like to approach my students with the concept that we are equal. Though I may have a better grasp of understanding on the subject that does not mean that I am more intelligent or better. I want the students to see that in no time, through practice, they too will reach my level of confidence and enjoyment in the subject by working together. I want students to feel it's okay to need help and for the spirit and motivation in school to stay high.
