Fun Facts
One passion people quickly learn about me is that I LOVE softball! Any time I have a chance, you ill find me playing in the dirt or watching reruns of softball videos. I am an only child and have traveled all over the country. I enjoy singing and dancing, especially musicals. Someday I hope to have the ability to go behind stage of one of my all time favorite musicals, The Phantom of the Opera!
About Me
Hi, everyone, my name is Cayla and I've been tutoring all levels of mathematics for about 3 years now. I am currently in the process of getting my degree from Maryville University of St. Louis, and while pursuing my degree in Biology/veterinary, I have been using my math skills and leadership skills to work part-time as a BIO and MATH TUTOR. I can tutor all levels of math (K-12, and college). Also I am capable of teaching Biology (K-12, including AP Biology). For fun, I like to work outside in my yard and play softball. Hanging out with friends and going on new adventures is always a lot of fun as well!
Experience
I was a Peer Tutor in high school for my National Honors Society. As well as a Calculus, Algebra 2, College Algebra, and Pre-Calculus tutor for the Math Department. Me 25 other seniors were selected as tutors for underclassmen due to our advanced skills in mathematics. I am also qualified for Biology considering my degree in Veterinary.
Approach
I have always had a passion for helping other succeed in their math studies. All through high school I was a peer mentor in the Math Department. I enjoy watching students excel in math after a single session of tutoring with me. I had a student this past semester of my senior year. Pass with an A in the class and had failed his first semester. We spent quiet a bit of time together getting to know his way of remembering. I want others to realize that as well.

I am currently re enrolled in Calculus as a freshmand at Maryville. Not because I did not do well in high school, I reiceved an A there, but because I wanted to retain the information again to help me in further physics based calculus class. I love calculus due to the heavy amount of Algebra requires. I can help with all forms of Calculus for all students.
Math Tutoring
As a tutor in my high school I have acquired all forms of mathamatics. I have helped from Calculus, Trigonometry, to College Algebra. Math comes very easily to me and I love tutoring other students. I know as a math student everyone retains information differently, and I work hard to find each individuals ideal way of studying mathamatics
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I took Pre-Calculus my junior year of high school. I passed the class with an A. i enjoyed learning all the new arterial, but I know as a tutor others have struggled with all of the new concepts. Pre-Calculus is not like any other math course. Others build of each other, Pre-Calculus is a whole new world of material that can become overwhelming and I want to help others understand these concepts confidently.
Trigonometry Tutoring
I love my trigonometry! I passed that class with a solid A. I was classified as advanced in trigonometry do to my ability to a lot of visual math. I want to help students be able to be given information and break it down piece by piece to show the picture given for the question.
Algebra Tutoring
I was placed in basic Alegra in middle school, than was placed in Algebra II my Freshman year in high school. With having a string base of Algebra allowed me to be advanced in not only my Algebra class, but my Calculus as well.
Algebra II Tutoring
I took Algebra II my freshman year of high school. Since I had done so well in Middle School with Advanced Algebra, the high school placed me in a higher level math course. This allowed me to excell in Math giving me a stronger base for future math courses.
Biology AP Tutoring
In high school I took all forms of Biology Coursews, from basic molecular biology, to human anatomy. I reiceved all A's in my biology classes including my AP Biology my senior year of high school. I am currently in Biology classes here at Maryville University receiving straight A's
Calculus Tutoring

I took Pre-Algebra back in middle schoool so it was very easy for me to teach the course. I was a math tutor for my high school due to my ability to find the right tactic to help students. I received and A back in middle school and hope to allow your student to reiceve one as well!

With my degree in Pre-Veterinary it has allowed me to exceed in the biology world. I acquired both General Biology and Advnced Biology throughout middle school.
Middle School Math Tutoring
I have always excelled in mathamatics, while in middle school I was placed into the flight classes. These were fast paced math courses allowing me to aquire more information than other students. Also, I was also in Algebra 2, Intro to Algebra. I received A's all through my math classes.
Science Tutoring
All throughout middle school I loved science. I was placed in the Advance Science classes my eight grade year. I have received an A in every biology class even to the present.
