I enjoy playing basket ball and football with friends, and on occasion I play pool. I am and individual who is outgoing and truly enjoy listening and advising friends on issues, thus I really get a joy from helping individuals.
About Me
I am a junior Mechanical Engineering major at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have been on the dean list. I am currently a member of Engineering Ambassadors, as an Engineering Ambassador I spend time mentoring high school students, and teaching them about robotics.
Experience
I have tutor college students for two years at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and I have tutor high school students on my on time. While I do enjoy this, I am seeking a position where I can work with middle school and elementary students to help them build up the right foundation. Because since i've been tutor the main issues with students is that they have not build up the right foundation.
Approach
When I was younger I was diagnosed with dyslexia and was told that I may not ever be able to read. Thus I ended up having to spend 3 summers of summer school trying to better my reading capabilities. Thankfully because of one teacher Mrs. Adams I finally learned how to read. The reason I tutor is because I want to be that Mrs. Adams to someone and ensure that I can help that individual overcome the struggles that they are facing.

Calculus I Tutoring
I am a Mechanical Engineering students who tutors math from developmental math, up to Engineering Analysis, which is a course that combines; Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, and Calculus II into one course for engineering majors. When tutoring these individuals I found that majority cannot do well because they do not have the right foundation. But I fell as if I can be that individual who can teach that student how algebra and on ties up to the course which they are already taking. Also since I have already tutor nearly all math courses, I can review the student and help he/she build that foundation to ensure that math will no longer be hard, but an enjoyable adventure.
College Algebra Tutoring

As a Mechanical Engineering major who tutors freshman in college algebra, I have found that majority of the time I actually end up giving them life advice on classes, what they should and should not do to ensure there success. This is something I want to do for Middle School students do to the fact that I can tell them and give them a personal testimony on what it takes to get to to college even when all old are against you and that it is possible, because for me if it was not for the mentors in my life, I would not have made it to college.
