I play the Viola and I enjoy a wide variety of music styles. My family is from Jamaica, West Indies. I am allergic to chickpeas but I am a sucker for hummus :-(!

About Me

I received my masters from USC and my bachelors from the rochester">rochester">University of rochester">Rochester in New York. I am originally from Brooklyn, New York and have been in california for 3 years now. I am not sure if I will go back; the weather is amazing!

Experience

I have been tutoring since I was an undergraduate (so almost 4 years now) and teaching for 7 years. I mainly tutor high school and college level students in different areas of math and physics.

Approach

The saying "practice makes perfect" is a very valuable saying in the field of Mathematics. The more problems you solve the more comfortable you become with the material. My approach to tutoring varies with the student; every student is unique. For the ambitious student who always gets straight A's, I provide more challenging programs to sharpen their skills while also not discouraging the ambition. For the student who needs a lot of help and encouragement, I try to make math more approachable.
