AP Engish prepares students for college-level English courses. In fact, many of the books read in AP English are also read in college-level courses. I will be able to help the student develop strong writing and critical thinking skills.

History is one of my favorite subjects, I believe that history begins with understanding how each small step in history changes and effects the bigger more well-known events. I can help with fun ways to remember dates and important events.

As an English literature major, I understand the work that goes into writing a college level English paper. Although I have had many wonderful English professors, I understand that some do not acknowledge the difficulty of writing a proper English paper. I am here to help with thesis-driven papers and making sure that your thoughts become a coherent and thoughtful paper.

History Tutoring

Before deciding to become an English major, I considered majoring in History. Since middle school, History has been one of my favorite subjects. I think the importance of History is to understand how each piece fits into the larger puzzle. I am well versed in WWII history as well as the war in Vietnam.

Literature Tutoring

Literature has my heart. Since a young age, I have had my head in a book. I have taken several classes and find much value in reading and deeply analyzing the text. There is a huge chance that whatever book you are currently reading, I have already read but if not, then I will do my absolute best to make sure that I read it before helping you.

Some of my favorite authors include James Baldwin, Cormac McCarthy, Thomas Pynchon, Don Delillo, Charlotte Bronte, Thomas Hardy, and many many more.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring

Reading comprehension plays a key role in being an English major. I will help with reading comprehension by helping you develop deeper critical thinking skills by being able to not only understand what you are reading on a surface level but the deeper meanings involved in those readings.

Study Skills Tutoring

First and Foremost, I think the most important aspect of having good study skills is to have good organization skills. I believe good note-taking is essential to good study skills.

Writing Tutoring

It can often be a difficult task to form thoughts into coherent sentences. In my college career, I have written numerous papers spanning from psychology papers to philosophy papers. I can help bring out a consistent and confident writers voice.

Religion Tutoring

Although I have not taken many religious studies class I am very familiar with the Abrahamic religions as well as very interested in Buddhism and Hinduism. I think learning world religions in a valuable thing.

Elementary Math Tutoring

I have a 7-year-old niece and a 6-year-old nephew who are both currently being homeschooled so I am familiar with elementary school math and feel as if I can make the learning experience fun for young students.
