Fun Facts
I'm a huge sports fan, I played baseball for 8 years and am always watching baseball or basketball on TV. I play guitar in my free time and love to go out to concerts and restaurants in Nashville AKA Music City.
About Me
I am a junior English and Jewish Studies double major in the honors college program at Vanderbilt University. While here, I've conducted research the past two semesters and have a 3.86 GPA. I've made Dean's List every semester I've been at the school and plan on attending law school after this. I hope to become a public defender one day.
Experience
I worked for a tutoring firm in my hometown named Mindset Tutoring from my sophomore year in high school through my first year in college, working with 1st-11th grade students on English, math, test prep, and HW skills. Business for that lulled over the summers, and I would take on private clients then and tutor in mostly English and test prep. I was a nationally ranked debater and volunteer coaching and judging high school debaters. I have a passion for learning and love sharing it via tutoring
Approach
I believe that writing is someone's thinking on paper and is therefore a very personal reflection of their self. Because language is so intimate, I am sure to be very affirming when tutoring someone on reading/writing and highlighting what they do well before indicating areas in need of improvement/critiques. I know all learners are different so I try and approach things from multiple angles and always ask probing questions to ensure the student understands the material well enough to explain it

I have taken Micro Economics at the college level and made an A in the class and took AP Macro economics in high school and made a 5 on the exam with an A in the class. I served as treasurer of my fraternity and learned basic accounting for that, balancing budgets up to $50,000.

Homework Coach Tutoring
I worked at a tutoring firm in my home town for 3 years and worked with students from 1st to 11th grade, meeting with many of my clients one or more times a week. I helped with homework in many subjects including math, science, english/LAR, and history. Additionally assisted with study skills and organization beyond the content and concepts of the subject matter.
Math Tutoring
I tutored elementary through high school math for 3 years for a tutoring firm in my home town. Over that time I covered basic arithmetic, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus. The only college level math course I have taken so far is General Logic.
