-I grew up in a small suburb called Antioch, Il, before I moved to the city to pursue a career in counseling middle school students.

About Me

Hello my name is Chuy Nunez, I am 21 years of age, and I currently reside in Chicago. Most of my life since I was 10 years old was spent in a suburb up north of Illinois called Antioch Illinois. It is a small town that has modernized these last couple of years, but when I was living there it was all rural. I attended the community elementary schools and high schools there, until I decided when I was 18 that I wanted better for myself and made the decision to move to the city as soon as I could.

That happened when I was 19, I moved out to the city to mature and grow as a person on my own. Before I could not COOK, CLEAN, WASH DISHES, or DO LAUNDRY - nothing! Now, two years since I moved I have been able to amaze myself as I learned how to do a variety of things; not just the basics, but even more. I was also able to explore the city on my own, go to museums, restaurants, and attractions. Being able to visit those places for the first time was truly humbling.

My experience with chicago">tutoring includes over 100 hours of service and observation hours at elementary, middle, and high schools. I have observed teacher-student interactions (with students that have disabilities as well), conducted homework sessions with students, and have been a part of 5 science fairs as a judge in local middle schools. I am currently also majoring in Education where I am endorsing Math, Science, Language Arts, Science, and ESL (English as a second Language). Through my schooling, I have taken many courses that involve working with children that are child development, environmental issues in schooling, and methods of teaching curriculums. I am also very motivating and positive when it comes to chicago">tutoring students which is a plus along with my experience.

My approach to chicago">tutoring is one where I am objective, but at the same time willing to compromise. The role of a chicago">tutor is to give and receive; to be willing to chicago">tutor and be there for his student and make the most effectiveness session as possible.
