Fun Facts
As well as my many years in academic research, I am also heavily involved in the arts! I love photography, metalsmithing, painting, sculpture, and singing. I am also very passionate about environmental conservation. I volunteered helping take care of otters, bears, bobcats, and cougars at my local zoo. I even drew pictures, gave treats, and toys to them to enrich their environment. I also love comics.
About Me
I am a 2019 graduate with a Bachelor's in Science for Psychology from Grand Valley State University. I aim to attend postgraduate school in England this coming year.
I was on the Dean's List every year for my university, a member of Psi Chi Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, president of a Wildlife Society, and member of a Soil and Conservation club completing pro-environmental events within the community. My background ranges from the sciences to the arts.
Experience
I was employed as a research consultant through my university libraries. In this position, I assisted students from all subject matters in understanding their assignments, navigating academic sources, and in professional writing skills. I created education content for neuroscience students too. I have helped graduate students to Pre-K students. I even created my own after school program on superheroes! I have over five years of experience in art as well.
Approach
I believe it is most important to find a tutor who you feel comfortable expressing your needs and confusion to. I reached out to various tutors in high school and college. From my work in student assistance, research, and own tutoring experiences, I have learned that a positive, judgement-free environment facilitates the best learning. I hope to teach study skills, improve comprehension, and help find what method of learning works best for each student so they can excel in their future work.

Adobe Photoshop Tutoring
I have over five years of experience in digital photography using Adobe Photoshop. I am also working on completing Adobe Photoshop certification in the upcoming month. I will also be studying art related post-graduate work and will continue to use Photoshop regularly, so I will be updated on current versions or questions which may arise while using it.
Arts Tutoring
I have taken general art coursework in theory, oil painting, metalsmithing, and have many years of digital photography experience. Overall, I can assist with questions regarding perspective, form, purpose, meaning, composition, formal analysis, and research.
Child Development Tutoring
I have completed collegiate child development coursework and research.

My undergraduate degree is in research psychology. This has involved work in experimental psychology in virtual reality, cognition, perception, child development, animal behavior, social psychology, neuroscience, neuropsychology, research methods, psychopathology, counseling, behavior modification, history and theory.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have helped many students in understanding how to best approach their assignments; as well as, learned various tips to improve one's studying through my years of experience.
Writing Tutoring
I have experience in both professional scientific and creative writing at a collegiate level. I also have a great deal of experience in helping navigate difficult writing pieces. During my work as a research consultant, I also have experience in editing research papers.
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
I have completed anatomy and physiology coursework in both college and high school. I have also completed work in neuroscience and neuropsychology which involves the study of brain function as well. During my high school years, I was heavily involved in athletic training, physical therapy aide coursework, and the medical club at my school. Overall, I can be very helpful with understanding various body form, function, memorization tips, and study skills.
Biology Tutoring
I have taken multiple biology courses at a collegiate level; as well as, ecology and animal behavior. I was President of my Universities Wildlife Society. I was also a member of a Soil and Conservation Society. I collaborated with professors in ecology, animal behavior, and conservation. Overall, I can assist very will with understanding concepts, research, and studying this type of scientific content.

I graduated summa cum laude from high school with a 4.1 GPA.

Through my work in psychology and research, I am very proficient in excel use for data tracking and creating graphs.
