I am number three out of four kids, I was born and raised in Colorado, I am passionate about my major, and I am a very faithful and devoted Christian.
About Me
I am a transfer junior majoring in Neuroscience on the pre-med track at Texas Christian University. I transferred from the University of San Francisco where I was a psychology major, pre-med, then a biology major, pre-med. When I graduate, I hope to attend the University of Colorado, Anschutz Campus for medical school. My ultimate goal is to become a neurosurgeon.
Experience
As a big sister, I've had the opportunity to tutor my little sister in all subjects, but mostly science and violin. Also, as a member of my church's youth group, I've had the opportunity to tutor kids of all ages in all subjects.
Approach
As a child, I struggled with memorizing concepts and I have always suffered from test anxiety. I was fortunate enough to have a professor who taught me active studying techniques and improved my test taking skills and calmed my testing nerves.

I have taken AP Language and Composition and AP Literature and Composition in high school. I scored a 4 on both of my AP exams for these subjects and earned A's in all my English classes from elementary to college. I have also helped out peers with their essays.
Reading Tutoring
All throughout elementary, middle school, and high school, I have learned how to read at a quick pace while still retaining the information from the book. I learned what books I like to read and which ones I do not like to read. I also learned how to skim while retaining the most important information.

I am a Neuroscience major on the pre-medical track. I take a lot of science courses and my passion for science has helped me to get A's in my middle school science classes. Science can be very difficult, but as a tutor, I can help teach how to love science and get an A.
Spanish Tutoring
I took Spanish classes from middle school to junior year of high school. I received high A's in all my Spanish classes and still practice speaking Spanish to this day. I am not a native speaker but can hold a conversation well with Spanish speakers.
Writing Tutoring
I love writing and have always received high scores on my essays all throughout middle school and high school. I have helped out my peers with their essays and as a tutor, I will teach how to avoid writer's block and a good structure of essays.
Violin Tutoring
I played the violin from 4th grade to senior year of high school. I still play every now and then. I was first chair from sophomore year of high school to senior year. I know vibrato and have assisted in the past in teaching younger kids how to play.
