I was accepted at all 8 ivies: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia, Dartmouth, Cornell, UPenn, Brown, and NYU, MIT, and Vanderbilt University with full scholarships. One passion people quickly learn about me is that I LOVE music! Any time I have a chance, you will find me either playing or listening to music. I am the oldest of five boys, and I love New York City. Although I do not get to often, I enjoy playing Tennis, Soccer, and Football. Someday soon, I hope to learn how to read music.

About Me

I was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria and I moved to America when I was 8-years-old. In high school, I maintained high honor roll status and was recognized as an AP Scholar with Honor. I am a freshman molecular, cellular, and developmental biology major at Yale University. When I graduate, I hope to attend Harvard Medical School to earn my medical degree. My ultimate goal is to become a neurosurgeon.

Experience

As a member of National Senior Honor Society, the World Language Honor Society, and the National Math and Science Honor Societies, I had the opportunity to tutor students daily in all subject areas during my years in high school. I also served as the co-founder and Executive Director of the Excel College Prep Program in my school in which we personally and closely mentored younger students through our tele-mentoring program, SAT and AP tutoring, college essay workshops, & other services.

Approach

I am grateful to my 4th-grade teacher for understanding my learning style. Through his positive encouragement and persistence, I realized my true potential. As a tutor, I bring this attitude to all of my sessions. I start off with diagnostic quizzes to see what areas are strengths and weaknesses. Before instructing, I give the student a learning style quiz in order to see what type of learner he/she is: auditory, visual, or tactile. I teach students the study skills for success in all classes!

Algebra Tutoring

I am qualified to teach Algebra because I have tutored students in Algebra in high school and middle school with students receiving grades of 95 and above. I received a grade of 100 in my Algebra class and mastered the New York State Algebra Regents Examination.

Algebra II Tutoring

I am qualified to teach Algebra II because I have tutored students in Algebra II and Trigonometry in high school and middle school with my students receiving grades of 90% and above. I received a final grade point average of 100 in my Algebra II class and mastered the New York State Algebra Regents Examination.

AP English Tutoring

I am qualified to teach AP English because I have conducted review sessions with students in AP English. I received a final grade point average of 98 in my AP English class and mastered the AP English exam with a score of 5.

I am qualified to teach AP Statistics because I have conducted review sessions with students in AP Statistics. I received a final grade point average of 95 in my AP Stats class and mastered the AP Stats exam with a score of 5.
