Fun Facts

I love to be by the pool, lake or ocean- it's my happy place. I am also extremely extroverted and enjoy being around and learning from people. I hope to go back to school to be a school psychologist and put my people skills to the test.

About Me

I graduated from University of Findlay in May 2017 and currently teach 1st grade in Reynoldsburg. I am certified to teach preschool through 3rd grade and have a preschool education/ohio/columbus">special education degree. I have also almost completed an endorsement to teach 4th and 5th grade. My strengths include content knowledge and individualized lesson building. i am also very kind, nurturing, energetic and organized.

Experience

I have tutored at the Universtiy of FIndlay and privately tutored, nannied and taught swim lessons for years. Teaching and learning are my passions! I mostly enjoy teaching phonics and math and hop to instill a love of learning into the students that I tutor. I want to help mold struggling students into life long learners.

Approach

I believe that learning should be fun, varied, and interactive but also standard based. I have vast knowledge on what student should know in order to move on the the next grade and the best practices to help students do so. I always tell my 1st graders that EVERYTHING I have them do will help their brains grow. I do not believe in busy work.
