I am a Certified Aromatherapist who makes homemade aromatic body butter, oils, facial serums, and mists which I give as gifts and sometimes sell at fairs and events.

About Me

I am a youthful lifelong learner with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Technology Management. Currently completing an MBA in IT Management, I look forward to working in Cybersecurity, specifically Security Awareness. I would like to teach businesses and individuals how to protect themselves from cyber threats. Both my daughter and granddaughter are college graduates and are independent with fulfilling lives. My granddaughter is also a tutor!

Experience

I started as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant but was always curious about the inner workings of computers. I saw myself thriving in a non-traditional role so when the opportunity arose, I chose an Electrical Technology program in junior college. I served as the Vice President of the Science and Technology Club and adopted the nickname Mizcomputer, which has stuck with me. I've had the privilege of working for Apple, both online and onsite. It is my favorite tech company.

Approach

I grew up with both parents but my family became disadvantaged as I grew into my teens. My teachers also played a role in my perspective on learning and provided me with lots of books to read in my spare time. They also instilled the responsibility to get a good education to live a better life. While it has taken me a while due to family responsibilities and a debilitating illness over the years, I have the resilience to keep pursuing my goals, and I had fun along the way!
