Fun Facts
I love the dark sky, the twinkling white dots, and the marvelous band of Milkyway calm my heart. The vastness of this universe reminds me of my minuteness and makes me humble. I also love to hike, do road trips in the countryside and listen to the music of a river or lake, all of them brings me close to nature. In free time, I like biking, reading books, and learning easy cooking.
About Me
I am a double major in Physics and Data Science at Minerva Schools at KGI, San Francisco, California. My primary interest is in computational astrophysics. I will apply for grad school in astrophysics and hope to work as a researcher on the application of machine learning in the field of astronomy. I am also a vocal for improving science education in high school and including hands-on active learning.
Experience
I started spring">tutoring others when I found the science club in our city to prepare students for different science Olympiads. On a weekly basis, I taught math, physics, astronomy, and science/maryland/silver-spring">computer science to my junior classes. Later, I worked as an academic member of the National Astronomy Olympiad and trained students in the national camp, made the question papers, and selects the team for the international round
Approach
In my middle school, the memorization was the most common technique we experienced rather than understanding in our math and science class, which I hated the most. Later, I realized that understanding the basic concepts creates a strong foundation to build upon, which can never be possible by easy memorizing. So I always focused on solidifying the basic concepts. I also love to teach the students by active interaction with him/her instead of passive lecturing.
