Fun Facts
I have a passion for music and it is a big part of my life! One of the majors I am studying at UCLA is Ethnomusicology, the study of music from all cultures, especially non-western cultures. Along with studying Ethnomusicology, I have played flute for 11 years and I have played in all sorts of ensembles from symphony orchestras, chamber groups, woodwind quintets, wind ensembles, and even marching bands. I love all types of music from classical to rap and I think there is value in all music.
About Me
I am a UCLA student double majoring in psychology and music. I am members of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology. I am hoping to go on to graduate school for Clinical Psychology and specialize in neuropsychology.
Experience
I have experience tutoring subjects from AP Biology, AP Music Theory, AP Environmental Science, AP English (Language and Literature), college-level music theory, and several other subjects. As someone who regularly interacts in a team environment, I understand the importance of passing down knowledge to my younger peers, and how much of an impact it has.
Approach
Throughout my time in high school, I have found that it is quite easy to "slip through the cracks" and have crucial setbacks go unnoticed. I am grateful to have had such caring mentors who understand how difficult it can be to communicate struggles and I attempt to bring this approach to every single student. It is my responsibility to help my students with all of the aspects of their education -- not just teach them what to learn, but how to do it.
