Fun Facts

I an the aunt to two boys. One is 6 and the other is 2 and I love them dearly! I consider myself a dog-mom and have two large fur-babies. I am engaged to be married for August 1, 2020.

About Me

I am a pharmacy student at the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in OKC. This August, I will begin my third professional (P3) year. I will graduate with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May 2022. In 2017, I graduated from UCO with a BS in Chemistry Health Science and a minor in Biology. My ultimate goal is to become a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist after graduation from the OUCOP.

Experience

Occupation: Pharmacy Intern, OU Children's Pharmacy (OKC). Employment start: September 2017-current. Duties: Prepare sterile/non-sterile compounded products based on understanding of drug stability and utilizing basic math calculations. These include products such as oral solutions, topical gels, IV bags, drips, and TPNs.
Over the last year, I have tutored students at Douglass HS in OKC in subjects such as Algebra (I/II), geometry, and physical science. GPA (undergrad): 3.7. OUCOP GPA: 3.8

Approach

My approach as a tutor is to first determine how the student is approaching the subject/topic. I then assess what their learning style is. Since I have an extensive background in being a student myself- 6 years total between undergraduate to professional- I understand that everyone learns differently. For this reason, I find that it is crucial to meet the needs of the student. I have always found that the ultimate goal of tutoring is to fortify the student's confidence.
