Something I love doing in my free time is reading. Although I can't say I'm a fast reader, it's thrilling for me to transform words on a page into a movie in my head. I primarily focus on reading fantasy and fiction in hopes of writing my own novel one day.

About Me

I'm going to begin studying at the chicago">University of Chicago as an undergraduate student starting this Fall. Although I haven't declared a major yet my hope is set on studying mathematics and becoming a data scientist.

Experience

I began tutoring a younger friend because they requested it and found that I really enjoyed doing so. I worked under a well-known tutoring firm in Queens, NY - Kweller Prep Academy- for a summer teaching SAT and SHSAT classes as well as privately tutoring one on one.

Approach

In high school I had experience with a lot of different teachers and teaching styles. I had teachers I felt like I really learned a lot from and understood, and teachers who just seemed to sap the desire to study from me. I've come to understand that everyone understands things differently and needs to be taught differently. That's why I feel it's important that students not only develop a good relationship with their teacher/tutor but also feel that they are cared about.
