Fun Facts
I am a middle child of five, and was born and raised in New York! One of my passions is playing the flute and piccolo in my free time! I have been a member of countless music bands and ensembles for as long as I can remember. I also really love playing badminton, and was on the badminton and track & field teams in high school! I enjoy reading, watching new streaming show series (Stranger Things fan anyone?), listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
About Me
I have graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minors in Neuroscience and Religious Studies. I have been named a national Marshall Scholar and am a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. I hope to attend the University of Edinburgh in Scotland to pursue a Masters in Psychological Research. I aspire to become a Professor in Social Psychology and share my enthusiasm for the field with aspiring students and fellow colleagues.
Experience
I thoroughly enjoy teaching and working with students! At the University of Pennsylvania, I have worked with undergraduates as a Teaching Assistant, Private Tutor, and Peer Advisor. I also volunteered my time to mentor high school students on state exam material at a local public school near Penn. I also worked with small children in local daycare centers on their weekly activities as a volunteer. Frog Tutoring allows me to continue share my passion for teaching and love of learning with others!
Approach
I aim to cultivate student confidence in their academic ability by reviewing topics of particular difficulty to students, covering study strategies, and teaching time-management techniques. One of my goals is to help students achieve a deeper understanding of the material we are covering beyond rote memorization. Furthermore, I aim to foster a sense of independence in the students with whom I work so that they will be able to apply the skills they have acquired in any setting.
