About Me
I am an incoming senior at the scranton">University of Scranton and am pursuing their 5 year Occupational Therapy Master's degree program. I am looking forward to practicing in a pediatrics setting.
Experience
I volunteer my time at a preschool and day care center in Scranton during my college semesters. Last summer, I worked at a Bright Horizons day care center and enjoyed working with the children. I would love the opportunity to work with children during this pandemic and help caregivers of children navigate their child's new learning environment.
Approach
I believe every child learns material in diverse ways. Finding the technique that works best for a child is crucial, for it aids in their success as a student. Through my time volunteering with children, approaches I have learned that have benefits include positive reinforcement, encouragement, and age-appropriate autonomy. Frustration and confusion are common emotions during learning and through positive support, children can look at these challenges as a normal process of learning.
